IPL Handpiece Filters
IPL Filters are used to reject a wavelength or range of wavelengths while transmitting the required wavelengths. IPL Filters are designed using a variety of substrates, coatings, or a combination of the two to reflect a set of wavelengths, allowing all other light to be transmitted.
IPL Filters include optical filters such as bandpass, longpass, or notch. Many dichroic filters are also available for narrow wavelength selection or transmission widths.

IPL Light Guides
IPL Light Guides are used to couple the light emitted from the lamp through the IPL Filter to then couple the energy being produced to the treatment area of the patient.
These Light Guides are made from the purest material with no
imperfections to ensure optimum performance. These products
can be made to order to suit precise specifications.

Flow Tubes & Flow Plates
Flow Tubes
Most industrial, aesthetic and IPL systems will employ a flow tube that the lamp(s) will sit in. The flow tube allows water to flow across the surface of the lamp enabling the lamp to be cooled during its operation.
It is very important to use the correct sized flow tube to allow the correct flow of water to maintain the correct cooling, if this is not maintain correctly and the lamp starts to overheat the lifetime of the lamp could be greatly reduced.
Flow tubes are typically made from CFQ (Clear Fused Quartz), CDQ (Cerium Doped Quartz), Pyrex or borosilicate glass. First Light Lamps are able to offer all types and sizes of flow tubes.
Flow Plates
Some industrial laser systems will employ a flow plate that fits in to the laser cavity. The flow plate allows water to flow across the surface of the lamp and rod/crystal enabling them both to be cooled during its operation.
It is very important to use the correct sized flow plate to ensure a water tight seal in the laser cavity. Flow plates are typically made from fused silica glass, First Light Lamps are able to offer all types and sizes of flow plates.

Ceramic Reflectors
Some Medical/Aesthetic Laser & IPL systems could be fitted with a Ceramic Reflector. Ceramic Reflectors are designed to focus the flash lamp energy produced within the laser cavity/IPL Head towards the Laser Rod/work area in order to achieve maximum output.
As with many components within the cavity of a system, over time the Ceramic Reflectors will lose their reflectivity. Therefore, the overall output energy of the system will reduce. It is highly recommended that in order to maintain the efficiency of the system, these components are replaced on a regular basis.
First Light Lamps are able to offer all types and sizes of Ceramic Reflectors.
